Guardrail Saves Rally Car Driver From Certain Fiery Death
This guardrail didn't move, but it still managed to rise to the occasion.
Watch as Tomasz Kasperczyk, a Czech rally car driver, nearly meets his maker when his car turns a little too wide during the FIA European Rally Championship’s Rally Islas Canarias last Friday. Fortunately for him, the guardrail saved him, thus saving him from a premature rendezvous with St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.
As you can see, Kasperczyk walked away by the skin of his teeth. How he emerged free from any serious injury is a modern-day miracle, considering how close he was to certain disaster.
