Danforth Man Arrested After Early Morning Standoff with Police
A Danforth man is in jail, accused of attacking his girlfriend and creating a standoff with police.
Members of the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Maine State Police, and Border Patrol were called to a home on Route 169, known as the the Springfield Road, after a reported domestic violence call around 5 a.m.
Police responded to the scene in search of 38-year-old David Boyington of Danforth, after he fled. Boyington was thought to have a gun in his possession.
Police were able to locate and arrest Boyington at a nearby home after a brief standoff.
Boyington is charged with domestic violence assault, criminal threatening, and terrorizing.
