On May 21, Aroostook Aspirations Initiative will host the County Service Challenge.

The County Service Challenge connects students, local businesses, and community members with service projects in need of volunteers. On May 21, service projects will be completed all over Aroostook County and participants are invited enjoy a lunch, all free of charge.

Designed to engage County youth in service projects region-wide, the event can help youth learn the importance of community service and lead them to realize the value of giving, encouraging them to become more engaged their communities. Student groups, community groups, families, and neighbors of all ages are invited to participate and represent their local community.

 

 

There is no cost to participate but donations are encouraged. Funds raised support Aroostook Aspirations Initiative's work with Aroostook County's high school graduates attending college in Aroostook County.

Several organizations, such as The Rotary Club of Mars Hill, Fort Kent Lions Club, and the Presque Isle Fire Department will be sponsoring meals for County Service Challenge participants.
