Freezing rain, sleet and snow early Tuesday across Aroostook County and western New Brunswick has caused some slippery road conditions and school delays and closures:  Here is the updated list:


All schools in Zones 1 - 5 of the Anglophone West School District (N.B.) will be closed today due to poor weather and road conditions. (Includes about 30 schools from Edmundston to Woodstock to Doaktown)

All schools in the District Scholaire Francophone du Nord-Ouest are closed Tuesday.

The Alzheimer’s Disease Caregiver Support Group scheduled for 1:00 pm today at Cary Medical Center has been cancelled. For more information call 498-1112.

Adult Multiple Alternative Center in Caribou  - Closed today

All Central Aroostook Association Programs - Closed today

ACAP Military Street Head Start & Foundation Classes - Activity cancelled Tuesday

Autism Intervention Services in the Woodstock area will remain closed for the morning. They will reassess at noon for afternoon intervention.

MSAD #45 (Washburn School District) has cancelled the after-school program for today.

Central Aroostook Schools (RSU 42) – 2 hour delay

RSU 29 (Houlton area schools) – 2 hour delay with no morning pre-K

GHCA – 2 hour delay

MSAD 70 (Hodgdon area) – 2 hour delay with no morning pre-K

RSU 50 (Southern Aroostook)  – 2 hour delay

RSU 89 (Mount Chase, Patten, Sherman and Stacyville) – 2 hour delay

Region Two School of Applied Technology in Houlton – 2 hour delay

UMPI’s Houlton Higher Education Center will have a 2 hour delay today. Classes will resume at 10:00 a.m.  The Presque Isle campus remains on its normal schedule.

Aroostook Agency on Aging - Opening  2 hours late today

Aroostook Band of Micmacs -  Delayed 2 hours

Little Feathers Headstart  - 2 hour delay

Child Development Services Aroostook -  Delayed 2 hours

ACAP Bird Street, Houlton - will start at 11:00 a.m.

Aroostook Government Administrative Offices  - Will delay 2 hours

Caribou District and Superior Court - Opening 1 hour late today
