The Caribou High School Girls and Boys Nordic Ski teams won both team races Monday at the Fort Kent 5K Classic held at Lonesome Pines Trails in Fort Kent.

The Caribou girls were led by first overall finisher Sarah Doak in a time of 22:40, followed by her teammate Lauren Chapman in a time of 24:48.  The second place team, Fort Kent High School, was led by Jordan Tanguay who finished in third in a time of 25:13.

Caribou's Kaitlyn Ring was the fourth to cross the finish line at 25:50.  Madawaska's Chelsea Daigle rounded out the top 5 with a time of 26:29 in the 5K race. Presque Isle girls finished third overall followed by Madawaska and Fort Fairfield.

In the boys race, Caribou also boasted three of the top five finishers. Caleb Willett finished first, edging Fort Kent's Matthew Toussaint by five seconds (19:50 to 19:55). Caribou's Michael Marquis was the third place finisher, with a time of 21:40.

Presque Isle's Noah Rossignol came in fourth at 20:03 while Caribou's Riley McDuffie was fifth with a time of 20:14.   Presque Isle boys placed second overall in the 5K, followed by Fort Kent, Madawaska, Fort Fairfield and Ashland.
