Candy Bar-Stealing Squirrels Driving Store Haywire
Even animals have a sweet tooth.
Squirrels have been stealing chocolate bars from a convenience store in Toronto, proving that maybe, just maybe they have discovered how good nuts can be when mixed with something sweet.
“I always see them sneaking outside the door, looking in my store, and even right at me," said Paul Kim, owner of Luke’s Grocery. "They come in and take Crunchies, Crispy Crunch, Wonderbar..." and presumably other bars that maybe even Americans are familiar with.
Kim's daughter, who says the devilish squirrels have managed to get their paws on about four dozen bars since the fall, even put a post on Reddit asking how to prevent these critters from continuing their crime spree (mmm, Spree).
The squirrels are pretty shrewd -- they know to come inside the store when the door has to be open, giving them the chance to help themselves to all the yumminess they can stand.
