Four police officers, that were supposed to be protecting the city of east Montreal, were caught on surveillance video beating a robbery suspect that had surrendered.

Earlier this week, city council decided that Marc-Andre St-Amant and Kaven Deslauriers could be fired for their violent actions because they were working as temporary employees when it happened. However, the other two could not be immediately dismissed.

The four officers that were caught on video savagely beating 19-year-old Alexis Vadeboncoer are all facing criminal charges.

Vadeboncoer reportedly suffered injuries to the jaw, ribs, wrists, ankles, and even his testicles, as one of the officers kicked him in the groin numerous times. Vadeboncoer has since filed a $2.3 million lawsuit.
