A Bangor resident called the police after a bizarre break-in that included the suspect sleeping on their couch.

Bangor, Maine Resident Finds a Stranger Sleeping On His Couch

Jose Harvey, 50, of Milford, was arrested on Sunday morning after refusing to leave a stranger's house. He's charged with aggravated criminal trespass.

It was probably a typical morning for a Bangor resident when they woke up on Saturday morning, until they found a stranger sleeping on their couch.

The occupant told the intruder to leave, and then called the police when he refused.

Bangor Police were called, and upon arrival, they were able to identify Harvey from previous interactions.

He could not provide a logical explanation for why he was in the apartment.

Officials say the tenant later found that their bathroom window had been opened.

In addition, all of their Christmas presents had been unwrapped near where Harvey was found.

Jose Harvey was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
