The Maine State Aquarium in Boothbay Harbor is dedicated to protecting Maine's marine life and educating the public about our unique ocean ecosystem. It's no secret that Maine waters are known for lobsters, so it makes sense that the aquarium pays special focus to these unique creatures of the sea.

If you visit the aquarium, you can see lobsters of all sizes, ages, and colors.

Harvey, the 17-pound lobster, flexes his massive claws in his tank while tiny lobster babies float in their tiny ice cube tray aquariums. It's amazing to see lobsters so young with all the physical characteristics of their adult counterparts.

Once you've seen the lobsters, be sure to visit the invertebrate tank to touch and feel many special sea creatures found in Maine waters. The Maine State Aquarium is an education and fun experience for everyone, even grown-ups.
