In front of a sellout crowd of 5,125 at Alfond Arena Saturday night, the BU Terriers took down the UMaine Black Bears 3-1 and complete a weekend series sweep.

Clayton Keller gave the Terriers a lead they would never relinquish in the first period, a shorthanded goal.

A BU powerplay goals in the second made it 2-0.

Then UMaine Blaine Byron scored a powerplay in the third period to pull the Bears within a goal.

But three minutes later, the Terriers scored the back breaker and left Alfond with the 3-1 win.

Black Bears goalie Rob McGovern made 34 saves. BU's Jake Oettinger made 26.

Miane now 2-9-1 In Hockey East and 8-13-3 overall.

BU has won eight in a row and stands at 9-2-2 and 16-5-2.
