University of Southern Maine shortstop Sam Dexter continues to pull in the postseason hardware.Just a few days after being named the D3.com National Player of the Year he has been named the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Bat Award as the National Player of the Year.

Dexter who just finished his junior season with the Huskies batted .441 with 8 homeruns and 44 rbi. He also had a fielding percentage of .948 and helped turn 34 double plays.

Now that the former Messalonskee High School star has completed his junior season it is possible he could hear his name called in next months Major League baseball draft.
