Your Official Guide to Blues, Brews + BBQ This Saturday on the Bangor Waterfront
Blues, Brews & BBQ is this Saturday, Aug. 1, and it's going to be a hot time on the Bangor waterfront!
It's going to be sunny and 80 degrees this Saturday, a perfect day to hang out with your friends and listen to the best blues musicians around while enjoying some delicious barbecue and ice cold beer.
Here's everything you need to know about Saturday's Blues, Brews & BBQ!
GATES: Open at 2 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 1. No re-entry.
TICKETS: Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. Get your ticket in advance to save money and for the quickest check-in. Once you purchase your tickets online, print them off and bring them with you.
FOOD: Nostrano will be selling their famous BBQ – pulled pork, ribs, beef brisket and smoked salmon. If BBQ is not your thing, other food vendors include Hero’s Sports Grill who will be selling wraps and salads, Maine Tater will have three types of wings & fries and Dorr’s Lobsters will be selling lobster rolls!
DRINKS: Spectacular Events’ Bar Service will be selling a variety of draft beers. All alcohol sales are cash only - $5 per drink. Under 21 is allowed in the venue, but proper ID is required to purchase alcohol.
WHAT TO BRING: Lawn chairs and umbrellas are permitted. Be sure to bring sun screen, too! Bring a sweatshirt or sweater in case it cools off in the evening.
WHAT NOT TO BRING: No food or beverage can be brought into the venue.

Stesha Cano & The Jerks
VIDEO: Watch Stesha perform liveIf you haven't heard local favorites Stesha Cano and the Jerks, you're in for a great show! Stesha's vocals are smooth and soulful and the Jerks are tight! Stesha has released two albums of original music, "Like a Bee" (2011) and "Simple as Everything" (2013). She spent a recent winter in New Orleans where she soaked up the sounds and infused some of the city's renowned jazz into her performances.

Poke Chop & The Other White Meat
WATCH: Watch Poke Chop perform livePoke Chop and the Other White Meat hail from Portland and were named "Best Blues Act 2013" by the Portland Phoenix. The band -- guitarist and vocalist Ron Gill aka "Pokechop," bassist "Dapper" David Engel, drummer Marc Perez and harmonica player Thom 'The Hurricane' Hanes -- has played all over Maine, winning blues fans all along the way.

Mark "Guitar" Miller
VIDEO: Watch Mark perform liveMark "Guitar" Miller has been playing the guitar since he was six years old and is known as one of the best blues musicians in Maine. The singer-songwriter has opened for the likes of B.B. King, Johnny Winter, Taj Mahal, Pat Travers and Waylon Jennings to name a few. He also has worked with many artists including Boston's late, great Brad Delp, who lent his amazing vocals to Miller's album, "Whatcha Gonna Do!"

Texas Flood
