Earlier this week we asked our listeners and website followers to help us out and tell us just who was their favorite Aroostook County High School basketball team, and of course, you delivered!

The anticipation is probably killing you, right? I mean, you've voted numerous times and are anxious to see if your fellow fans voted for your favorite team as well...

High School basketball is a way life here in the County. It brings people together. Not just the athletes from competing schools, but it brings the fans together too. Many folks that go to the game are up and coming High School players themselves. Some are parents and friends of current players. Some are just fans of the game. Maybe their kids have come and gone, but they continue to go to the games just for the love of the game and because they are a loyal fan.

It doesn't matter why you attend the games, only that you do. High School basketball is the highlight of many young lives. It's an awesome feeling to show up to the gymnasium as an Alumni and just relive those glory days.

Most High School games only cost a couple of bucks to get in, and often times the fans are as fun to watch as the game itself! Where else could you get that much entertainment for such a small price?
