First Significant Snowfall of the Season in Northern Maine
The first winter storm watch of the season is posted for this weekend with parts of Aroostook County expected to get up to 6 inches of snow.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory beginning late in the day Saturday until Sunday afternoon. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
Snowfall is expected to range from 3 to 6 inches by the end of the day Sunday, with the higher amounts south of Caribou.
The storm could also drop substantial snow on the Sherman, Lincoln, Millinocket, Bangor and Topsfield areas.
