The National Weather Services posted earlier today a winter storm warning. The NWS warns of dangerous weather conditions headed toward Maine.

The storm is expected to intensify throughout the day, and dangerous conditions will continue into most of the day on Friday.

‘This could make for some difficult and potentially dangerous commuting with the increase in holiday traffic,’ said Rob McAleer, Director of Maine Emergency Management Agency.

The latest winter storm will bring strong winds, low visibility, and snow drifting, making the conditions extremely dangerous and life-threatening.

The agency advises to stay indoors if possible, if not to pay attention, check on your neighbors, and if you lose electricity, be careful using alternative heat sources, because carbon monoxide poisoning can be deadly.
