The 35th Annual Wild Katahdin Trust Snow Run was held in Houlton earlier this month during Moosestompers Weekend.

The money raised benefited the Houlton Parks & Recreation Department’s Just for Kids Playground.

Katahdin Trust’s Krista Putnam said the bank was proud to partner again with the town and the Aroostook Musterds. “As part of Moosestompers Weekend, the Wild Katahdin Trust Snow Run brings together our community and provides a great way for families to embrace our northern Maine winter wonderland."

Marie Carmichael, Director of the Houlton Parks & Rec. Dept., thanked the sponsors and participants who made this event such a success. “Although it was a bit chilly for this year’s race, the runners & walkers were up for the challenge."

The race’s top finisher was Thomas Beckham, who finished the 5K run in 19:17. Coming in second was Andrew Hunt with a time of 20:14, and rounding out the top three was Teanne Ewings with a time of 20:45.
