Who's The Best Match Play Golfer In Maine?

MSGA player of the year Ricky Jones and 13-time Maine Amateur champion Mark Plummer are both out of contention for the Maine Match Play Championship.

Both players one round-of-32 matches but then lost in the round-of-16.

Jones was beaten by Mike Doran 1-up. Plummer lost to Matt Hutchins 1-up,

The match play pits one player against another for an 18-hole playoff. Half the field is eliminated in each round until there is one golfer standing.

Since the Match Play Championship was re-started in 2010 there have been six different winners.
