Within a three day period, between Woodstock and Edmonston, the West District RCMP has given out six suspensions in three days.

According to Cpl. Mathieu Galliene, it doesn't matter how far you're going or how well you feel, you are risking your life and the life of others when you drive impaired.

Cpl. Galliene added that the public should plan ahead as there are other options to take advantage of if you find yourself impaired and getting behind the wheel is not one of them.

On June 7, four drivers were pulled over within the district and given 90-day roadside suspensions and will appear in court on a later date.

On June 10, around 2 a.m., one driver was pulled over on Rue Principale and a half an hour later another person was pulled over on Beardsley Road. Both were issued a 90-day suspension and both will appear in court on a later date.

If you suspect anyone of impaired driving, pull over and immediately call 9-1-1. Providing the authorities with vehicle make and model and a license plate is helpful. Also, provide them with what direction the driver was traveling.
