A crash involving a car and a large evergreen took place in Eagle Lake last Friday leaving the driver with serious injuries.

According to the Maine State Police, on December 6th just after 10:00pm 22-year-old Dylan Deprey of Eagle Lake lost control of his 2005 Dodge sedan while heading north on Route 11 and as a result struck a large evergreen tree at the intersection of Convent Road and Main Street which caused the tree to become uprooted and snap in half.

Deprey was sent to the Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent by ambulance and later transferred to the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with serious injuries.

Tpr. Michaud was assisted at the crash by Trooper Jeff Clark, Warden Sgt. Jeff Spencer, and the Eagle Lake Fire Department.

Officers believe speed and alcohol were factors in the accident and say Deprey was not wearing his seat belt.
