A 31-year-old Washburn man has been arrested after police say two residences in town were burglarized last week.

Washburn Police Chief Roy Guidry Jr. said in a social media post that a rifle, money and personal items were stolen from the homes on Wednesday, November 30.

After a two-day investigation, Travis J. White, 31, was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary, Theft of a Firearm, Theft with Priors, and Possession of a Firearm by Persons Prohibited. All of the stolen items were recovered.
