The National Weather Service has sent out a Winter Storm Warning that is in effect for Northern Maine, Aroostook County, and Western New Brunswick today.

The public can expect heavy snow with mixed precipitation today, December 12.

Tuesday, gusty winds are expected around 11 a.m. with snow accumulations 2 - 4 inches (5 - 10 cm) with highs near 28 Degrees or -2 Celsius.

Tuesday evening, snow and rain are likely with new snow accumulations 4 - 6 inches (10 - 15 cm). 15 - 20 mph (24 - 32 km) east winds expected with wind gusts up to 30 mph (48 km) and lows near the freezing mark.

Wednesday, December 13, more cloudy and gusty conditions with snow and rain mix. Expect snow accumulation near an inch (2 cm). 10 - 15 mph (16 - 24 km) winds are expected throughout the area with gusts up to 30 mph (48 km). Temperature highs around 35 Degrees or -14 Celsius.

Wednesday evening brings more clouds and 15 - 20 mph (24 - 32 km) winds are expected throughout the area with gusts up to 30 mph (48 km) with temperature lows near 6 Degrees or -14 Celsius.
