Van Halen’s ‘Other’ Lead Singer Speaks Out [VIDEO]

I consider myself a Van Halen fan AND a Van Hagar fan.  I contend that comparing the two is pointless since they are essentially two different bands.  Don't even get me started on the other Van Halen, which lasted one album, with Extreme's Gary Cherone.  Cherone is fantastic, just not with Van Halen.  Did you know there was another singer in the band?

Many have probably heard the story of Van Halen's 3rd lead singer, and no I'm not talking about Gary Cherone, technically Cherone was the 4th to hold the mic.  I'm talking about Mitch Malloy.  For a long time there was a rehearsal tape circulating that was said to be Malloy's audition with the band, after which he was offered the job.  It eventually made its way to YouTube but Malloy never really spoke about it publicly, until now.
