UMaine, Local Business Form Partnership

The University of Maine athletic department announced a first of its kind partnership for the women's basketball team at a Monday press conference.The school announced that Bangor Savings Bank has signed on to be the title sponsor of the program and will help to promote work done by the team and its players in the community. They will also help to fund clinics for area youth and donate to point fund where the institution will give $2 dollars for every point scored by the team.

Following the press conference a group of nearly 100 area youth were treated to a free clinic by the UMaine women's basketball players.
