Another double-double for Liz Wood, another win for the UMaine women's basketball team. For Wood, 14 points and 11 rebounds. For the team, a sixth consecutive win.

The 56-42 win came at UMaryland Baltimore County and it puts the Black Bears at 6-1 in America East and 14-6 overall.

Along with the 14 poitns and 11 rebounds, Liz Wood had five steals and three assists.

Sigi Koizar added 14 points.

 

The UMaine men's team snapped its long 13-game losing streak, winning on the road at Hartford Sunday afternoon 70-61. The Bears are now 1-6 in AE and 2-18 overall.

Kevin Little scored 25 points, including five 3-pointers.

Till Gloger and Zarko Valjarevic each had 14 points.

Maine shot 51% from the field and 10-for-21 from the 3-point line.

It is Maine's first win since beating Wagner back on December 2nd.
