The RCMP pulled over an eastbound vehicle on Highway 2 on Thursday, according to Staff Sgt. André Potvin of RCMP Federal Operations in Moncton.

This resulted in the seizure of a quantity of pills believed to be methamphetamine, marijuana, cannabis resin and approximately 100,000 contraband cigarettes, Potvin stated.

A 52-year-old Colpitts Settlement man and a 47-year-old Havelock woman were arrested and later released.

They are scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on February 16, 2016 to face charges related to possession of contraband cigarettes and drugs.
