One man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Corinna on Saturday.

James Maloney, 56, of Dover-Foxcroft, was killed in the crash, which happened at about 12:47 p.m. at the intersection of the Amsden Road and Route 7, according to Maine State Police.

Police say a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old boy from Hermon was traveling on the Amsden Road had entered Route 7 and struck Maloney's Jeep, which was traveling on Route 7 towards the center of Corinna from Dexter.

The Jeep was occupied by Maloney, Maloney’s wife Susan Boudreau-Maloney, and a dog.

James Maloney was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries which resulted in his death. Susan Boudreau-Maloney sustained serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital where she is being evaluated. The dog also sustained injury and was transported to the Brewer Emergency Veterinary Clinic.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The accident is under investigation.
