Saturday's 10-6 win over Norfolk State moves UMaine football to #24 in the first week national poll conducted by The Sports Network. That is up one spot from the preseason ranking.

There are five CAA teams ranked ahead of the Bears, led by New Hampshire at #6. The Wildcats lost to FBS Toledo on Saturday.

Maine has a bye this week and then it's on the road for three games, starting at Bryant on September 13th.
