The evening promises fun, food, entertainment and, of course, bowling with rockers, all in the name of raising money for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. In addition to the competition and good times, there will also be a live auction filled with autographed collectibles and more valuable items donated by artists.
That Metal Show's Eddie Trunk returns as the emcee for the evening and will be the captain of one of the bowling teams. In addition to the aforementioned Morello, Small and Cazares, those in attendance can also find John 5, Act of Defiance's Chris Broderick, Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga and Christian Martucci, Black Veil Brides' Jinxx, Dio Disciples' Bjorn Englen, Joe Retta, Scott Warren, Craig Goldy and Simon Wright, Eddie Money, Armored Saint's Joey Vera, Tim "Ripper" Owens, Monte Pittman, Flotsam and Jetsam's Michael Spencer, Lizzy Borden's Lizzy Borden, Ira Black and Joe Harges, Hurricane's Robert Sarzo, Dio's Rudy Sarzo, Hellion's Ann Boleyn, Lynch Mob's Chas West and Sean McNabb, Elf's David "Rock" Feinstein, The Cult's Damon Foxx, Rough Cutt's Chris Hager, Lita Ford's Marty O'Brien, Bullet Boys' Mick Sweda, Jeff Scott Soto, Keel's Marc Ferrari, No Small Children's Joanie and Lisa Pimentel and Nicola Belinsky, Nelson's Howie Simon, singer Sonia Harley and Fox 11 news anchor Christine Devine.
The event kicks off at 6:30PM with open bowling and a VIP pre-party. The tournament will follow, with those in attendance also having the opportunity to bid on some of the donated items, including a 6-string Jackson guitar donated by Chris Broderick. Those in attendance can also bid on a specially-designed bowling ball featuring the Bowl 4 Ronnie artwork. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the Bowl 4 Ronnie event will go to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. At the event, a $25,000 check will also be presented to further the research of Dr. David Wong, who is developing a non-invasive saliva test for early cancer detection.
