On Sunday, May 1st, at around 1:00pm, Caribou Police Department received a call from a woman who reported her home had been burglarized while she was away.

Officer Chad Cochran investigated and determined that entry had been made and it appeared that the suspects went through the residence and stole multiple items, according to Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan.

On Thursday, May 5, Officer Cochran received information that a young man had been cashing in large amounts of change.

Cochran was then able to establish the suspects in the burglary were 38-year-old Kerry Simoneau, 22-year-old Damian Simoneau and 24-year-old Matthew Cocheran, all of Caribou, Chief Gahagan said.

The suspects were arrested later that day and were charged with burglary and theft. All three were transported to the Aroostook County Jail, with bail set at $2,500 cash.

Gahagan said most of the items from the burglary have been recovered. Officer Cochran was assisted by Officer Keith Ouellette.
