We're now seeing a bunch of ads for Black Friday deals at all those huge big box stores. But I like to support the small mom and pop stores in downtown USA. This Saturday,November 26th  is Small Business Saturday.

According to Wikipedia, Small Business Saturday, started in 2010 in Roslindale Village, Massachusetts. It was created to combat Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

According to Maine.gov, Gov. LePage said Small Business Saturday is a way of supporting the local economy.

Governor LePage says Small Business Saturday is all about supporting your neighbors, the tens of thousands of small business owners in communities all across Maine. We have many chances year-round to shop local, but the holiday season is an especially important time to celebrate and support our local Maine merchants.

Tell us about some of your favorite local stores that you shop at during the holidays or all year long!
