This is the 25th Anniversary of the first time the Players staged the play in their 1990-91 season.  Local stage favorite Dan Ladner is reprising his role as Grandpa Vanderhof  and Barbara Frick-Ladner, one of the founding members of the Players, is directing the play.

Performances will be April 10, 11, 17, 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Wieden Auditorium at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.  Advance tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and are on sale now at the information desk at the Aroostook Centre Mall, at Goin’ Postal in Presque Isle, and at the Campus Center at UMPI.

The original production of You Can’t Take It With You, written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman premiered on Broadway in 1936.

The play won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and was adapted for the big screen in 1938, winning the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director.
