The event is the Foundation's primary fundraiser of the year. The celebration recognizes the important contributions UMFK brings to the St. John Valley region and the state. The people who attend help to support endowed scholarships and other campus investments that the University needs to continue its important work.

The evening begins with a social hour at 5 p.m. in Nowland Hall, followed by a five-course gourmet dinner at 6 p.m.

The festivities will move to the Fox Auditorium at 8:30 p.m., where The Mallet Brothers Band will perform their unique style of original music which spans Country, Rock, Americana and Alt-Country genres.

The band is led by brothers Luke and Will Mallett, with Adam Cogswell on drums, Nick Leen on bass, Wally Wenzel on dobro and electric guitar, and Andrew Martell on fiddle and mandolin.

Sam Pfeifle writes in the Portland Phoenix: “This band projects a self-assuredness that's infectious in a world where it's becoming harder and harder to find things that are real and genuine.”

At 9:30 p.m., the evening will conclude with a post-performance reception of dessert and champagne in the Nadeau Hall Conference Room.

Individual tickets and sponsorship opportunities for the dinner/performance fundraising event are available through the UMFK Development Office by calling 834-7800. Individual tickets for the performance only are also available.

The UMFK Foundation supports endowed scholarships and other funds, student research projects, faculty research awards, cultural events, library collections, other campus investments and special projects not budgeted for in the University's annual operating budget.
