The Aroostook Medical Center has announced plans to hold a 1k run/walk on Monday, January 20th, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. If you 'have a dream' of a healthier you, this could be a great way to start your journey.

The event is scheduled for Noon on Monday, with participants running or walking around TAMC's campus on Academy Street in Presque Isle. The TAMC team recently won the EMHS Fall Challenge, where employees strived to improve their health over a 12 week period. Monday's event will serve to celebrate their accomplishments while honoring the memory of a great civil rights leader.

Community members, including families with children who have the Holiday off from school, are welcome to join in the MLK 1K at TAMC. No pre-registration is required. Participants are asked to arrive at the main entrance of the hospital by 12:00 noon. Free healthy snacks will be served following the run/walk. For more information, call 768-4044.
