Although I spent a bit of time defending Nickelback, even though I'm not really a huge fan, I'm not surprised that they made this list. We asked who you thought fit into the 'overrated' category among rock artists. As I suspected, the answers varied widely. Here's a sampling of who you thought were overrated rock artists.

Every once in a while you'll hear Doug and I go 'Nickelback-bashing.' I can't speak for Doug but I have turned a corner on that band. While I think for a while there was a ton of overexposure, I saw them play live and they're intense, very talented, and rockin'. Overrated? I can't say they are because most people that I know hate them.

On today's show we pondered the question of whether there are bands out there that should have or could have stopped recording at their peak. We took a little bit of flack for saying Def Leppard, but we expected that. Here are some other bands or artists you thought might have been okay if they had moved on a long time ago.

Yesterday the world lost a comic genius when writer/producer/director and actor Harold Ramis passed away at 69 years old. I got to thinking about just how big an impact this man had on me growing up. I'm a self-professed 80s kid and Ramis' flicks are part of the fabric of my childhood.
