The United Way of Aroostook is pleased to be partner with New Ventures Maine, Aroostook RSVP, ACAP, KeyBank, and VITA, to once again offer free tax preparation.

“Roots to remind you where you’re from and wings to show you what you can become” was the theme of remarks by northern Maine native Gilda Nardone upon accepting the Deborah Morton award in a ceremony at the Portland Campus of the University of New England. The Deborah Morton Awards are presented each year to outstanding women who have achieved high distinction in their careers and public service,

New Ventures Maine, announced the winners of its Downtown Dollars marketing mini-grant competition for small businesses in Aroostook County. Two awardees were selected from a strong group of applicants throughout Aroostook County.

Starting August 5, Business Basics classes will be held at the Houlton Town Office, 21 Water St, Houlton, Fridays from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
