You know when you're in Junior High and you've suddenly got hair growing in places that the grownups forgot to tell you about? Or you wake up in the morning and your little sister is playing connect the dots on your face? It's an awkward stage already, even before you decide you want to become a rock star.

As a rock guitar player, there are certain things you need to know how to do. Stay in tune, stay in rhythm, play the same song as the rest of the band, and look cool. The legendary 'guitar flip' is not one of those essentials, but damn is it cool. Well, it is when you get it right.

So we had family visiting this past weekend, which means there were more kids to add to the fun. One of the grown-ups suggested an activity and my brood got excited. For the rest of the day I felt like the worst parent in the world.
