What's more fun than riding a bike? Well, riding a stationary bike to help raise funds to improve dialysis care in the County!
We are so pumped for Power to the Pedal, which is coming up on Friday, May 29th at County Physical Therapy in Presque Isle! And we need you! Round up a team; friends, co-workers, your family and school buddies!
We've only got a few more weeks left until the big event that is Power to the Pedal, and we couldn't be more excited!
Power to the Pedal – a race in place” is the only event in our region whose sole purpose is to raise funds to improve dialysis care in The County. It all happens on Friday, May 29th outside County Physical Therapy in Presque Isle.
We really couldn't be more excited to be partnering with County Dialysis and County Physical Therapy to bring you Power to the Pedal: a race in place on Friday, May 29th where bikes will be available for members of the community to complete a certain amount of bike time to meet or exceed the goal of approximately $170 per bike, per hour.

What is dialysis? Well, according to the National Kidney Foundation, dialysis is a treatment that does some of the things done by healthy kidneys. It is needed when your own kidneys can no longer take care of your body's needs.
You may be asking yourself "just why is the Power to the Pedal Fundraiser so important for the County Dialysis Center?"
The answer is simple. Without the County Dialysis Center, where would people go for treatment? Bangor? Boston? What kind of life would that be? Having to travel hours upon hours a few times a week, or even patients and families uprooting their entire life to move closer
While they may not be able to physically attend next month's Power to the Pedal in Presque Isle, some students in Fort Kent have come up with their own way of participating in the event and raising money for County Dialysis.
Students are Fort Kent Elementary School will hold a bike-a-thon on Saturday, May 30th with proceeds going to the County Dialysis Center in Presque Isle.
