The New York Yankees have taken the first two games of the weekend series at Fenway Park after pulling out a 4-2 win on Saturday.With the game tied at 1 in the top of the 5th, Brett Gardner roped a line drive single to left scored that scored a pair of runs giving New York the lead for good. Gardner finished the game with 3 runs batted in.

For the Sox, Blake Swihart made his Major League debut and legged out an rbi single. Swihart was called up to take the spot of Ryan Hanigan who broke his finger Friday night and had surgery on Saturday. He is expected to be out of action until after the all-star break.

Wade Miley took the loss despite pitching one of his best games this season. He went 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs while striking out 3.
