Sweet New Space For Student At Husson To Gather

Just days following the announcement that Husson University's Wildey Communications Center has officially reopened for the Spring semester, following a flood that left the space in need of repair, some more good news for those who attend and work at the school.

Staff and students at Husson University have a sweet new space to gather together and get to know each other better.

According to Sarah Walker Caron, Director of Communication for Husson University, the new gathering place was made possible thanks to some generous donations.
"The Furman Terrace has two outdoor gas fire pits as well as Adirondack chairs, tables with additional seating, and a pergola that provides some shelter to a portion of the space. "

Offering up a relaxed and inviting vibe, Walker Caron says the purpose of the new Furman Terrace is to "strengthen the connections between people on campus."

"With its proximity to Cressy’s Marketplace and Willey’s Café, students will also be able to grab a meal or snack between classes or unwind with a coffee on the new terrace. Husson’s Student Activities also has plans to use the space to host more laid-back and relaxing programs, which so many Husson students are now seeking."

Husson has a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned to officially unveil the new space. It will take place this coming Monday, January 22nd at the Furman '72 Student Center at 1 PM.
