The American Federation of Teachers and the Badass Teachers Association, a national grass-roots organization have found that more teachers suffer from mental stress.

According to USA Today, teachers are living with a pretty long list concerning school budgets, coarse political discourse, along with bullying and the status of immigrant students.

The new study, which was conducted by a survey, shows that more educators are saying that their mental health is suffering more than just two years ago.

58-percent of educators said that their mental health was 'not good' for seven or more of the previous 30 days.

A 2015 survey, similar to this one showed that just 34-percent of respondents felt the same way.

According to Randi Weingarten, president of the teachers' federation said that over the past few years, teachers have actually swapped one kind of stress for another. Much of that seemed to come from the intense, national focus on standardized skills tests for students.

There was a thought among educators that once President Obama signed the 'Every Student Succeeds Act' in 2015, those stresses would lessen and the expectation of stress among teachers to go down, not up.
