Last Friday, Sting released 57th & 9th, a return to rock music after spending more than a decade on other musical and theatrical projects. Today, he announced a 10-week world tour beginning in early 2017.

He's starting in North America, playing the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, B.C., on Feb. 1. He'll spend the next month-and-a-half playing theaters across the continent before wrapping up the leg on March 14 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. A week later, Sting hits Europe for a stretch of shows that concludes with two shows at the Olympia in Paris on April 12-13. You can see the itinerary below, and according to his website, he will also play South America and Asia, with dates to be announced soon.

Sting will be backed by a three-piece band, including longtime guitarist Dominic Miller, veteran session drummer Josh Freese and second guitarist, Rufus Miller. Joe Sumner, Sting's son, and the Last Bandoleros, a Tex-Mex band from San Antonio, will serve as the opening acts on all dates.

Pre-sale for Sting fan club members begins tomorrow (Nov. 15) and Citi card holders have a pre-sale of their own on Thursday. For complete details, visit the Tour section of Sting's website.
