St. George Woman Struck and Killed By Vehicle
A 43-year-old St. George woman has died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night along Highway 1 in Waweig, New Brunswick.
West District RCMP responded to the collision at around 9:45 p.m., according to Cpl. Terry Pomeroy of the St. Stephen Detachment.
The woman was struck while walking along the highway, and passed away as a result of her injuries, Pomeroy said.
The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old man from St. George, was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators have determined that the driver of the vehicle was not impaired.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist was on scene Wednesday night. RCMP say the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
