David Price pitched seven solid innings while Travis Shaw, Hanley Ramirez and Brock Holt socked home runs in a Red Sox 7-2 in San Diego. That victory, coupled with another Toronto loss, puts the Sox in first place all alone in the AL East.

Price is now 15-8 and winning for a sixth straight time. Seven innings of six hit, no walk ball. Price struck out eight.

Travis Shaw returned to the starting lineup at third base and immediately payed dividends. Two hits, including the the two-run homer and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Hanley Ramirez stays red hot. He hit his 20th home run and now has 90 RBI.

Brock Holt added a pinch hit homer.

Koji Uehara pitched for the first time in two months. He had a 1-2-3 8th inning with two strikeouts.

Before the game, the Padres honored David Ortiz in his last game at Petco Park. The team gave hima giant surf board.
