The RCMP was called to a house on Highway 107 shortly before 3 p.m. Monday after a man allegedly shot a firearm at the front door, according to Woodstock RCMP Cpl. Lloyd Harquail. Two people were inside the residence at the time the shot was fired, but no one was injured, Harquail said.

Police arrested 32-year-old Matthew Lee Jordan of Divide, New Brunswick a short time later.

Jordan appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court and has been charged with a firearms related offence. He has been remanded into custody and is due back in court on Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
