The search for Travis Hafford and Ryan Stevens, who are both 33 years old, resumed Sunday morning.

The two friends left early Friday morning to go hunting near Chamberlain Lake or Clayton Lake but failed to return for dinner that night.  Wardens say they were riding in Hafford’s silver Chevrolet extended-cab pickup with Maine registration number 5936 SC.

Temperatures overnight fell to near zero Fahrenheit.

Wardens searched through the day Saturday on foot and from the air, but there was no sign of the hunters. Snow is forecasted for much of the day Sunday. Due to the difficult terrain and the lack of cell phone service in the remote area, the Maine Warden Service is not looking for volunteers to aid in this search.
