Scott Flagg Leads Broncos Into New Season
All over the state of Maine football teams were doing the same thing Monday afternoon - taking on another team in a controlled scrimmage and putting week one of training camp in the books.
At Hampden, the Broncos scrimmaged with the Mt. Ararat Eagles. New head coach Scott Flagg is running the show now after spending five years as an assistant.
Flagg, a former Brewer football player, takes over from Kevin Canty. A year ago, the Broncos were 1-7.
Hampden has 51 players on the squad and will play an exhibition game vs Skowhegan Friday night at the Weatherbee Complex.
The season opener is at Brunswick Friday, September 4th.
