Score & More! High School Basketball: Presque Isle at Houlton (Girls)

Wednesday night in Houlton, the Lady Shires hosted the Presque Isle Lady Wildcats in a matchup featuring two of the top players in the state. Kolleen Bouchard brought her Houlton squad in with a perfect 14-0 record to face off against Emily Wheaton’s 11-4 Presque Isle team.

This game went to the Lady Shires by a score of 65-44. They were led by Bouchard’s game high 28 points and 18 rebounds. Aspen Flewelling knocked down five three point baskets for her 15 points to help Houlton move to 15-0 in Class C.

The Wildcats cut the Shires lead to 4 points early in the 3^rd period before Houlton began to pull away. Presque Isle was led by Emily Wheaton’s 21 points. They will now wait to play the Hermon Hawks on Saturday. Houlton will take on Central this Friday.

The Cushman and Son’s Player of the game was Aspen Flewelling.
