The RCMP is seeking information from the public to help solve a break, enter and theft at a church in Saint-François-de-Madawaska last month.

Police say sometime between 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 12 and 9 a.m. on Sunday, December 13, one or more persons broke into the Saint-Francois-Xavier church on Commerciale Street.

An envelope containing a quantity of money was stolen, according to RCMP Constable Cynthia Coutu of the Clair Detachment.

Police are asking anyone with information that may be helpful to call the West District RCMP at 506-473-3137. Information can also be provided anonymously through NB Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
