Maine goaltender Sean Romeo will transfer from the program and is heading to Ohio State to play for the Buckeyes of the Big Ten Conference.

Romeo played only two games in the past season for the Black Bears and sported a 2.27 goals against average in 2015-16.  The goaltender from North Carolina started 23 games in 2014-15, allowing just over three goals per contest on average.  Before playing for Maine, Romeo played three seasons for the Youngstown USHL team in Ohio.

The Black Bears currently have Matt Morris (RS Senior) and Rob McGovern (Sophomore) on the roster from last season with both netminders playing over 20 games apiece.  Maine also announced that Stephen Mundinger (NA3EHL) and Tyler Johnson (NAHL) will be joining the squad as part of the incoming 2016-17 recruiting class.
