Maine State Police say Zachary Hitchcock was driving north on I-95 in Houlton around 5:40 p.m. He was passing other traffic when he lost control of his 2010 Chevrolet sedan, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Clark.

The car went off the left side of the highway into the snow bank and rolled over. Hitchcock was able to get out of the car on his own and flagged down another motorist who took him to the Houlton truck stop, Clark said.

Hitchcock was complaining of pain and Houlton Ambulance transported him to Houlton Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.

Trooper Dennis Quint investigated the crash. Police say speed was a factor. Hitchcock was wearing his seat belt.
